Q: What song do you play on repeat?
A: I really love “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child. And all the songs on the album Emergency & I by The Dismemberment Plan are gems.
Q: What’s the best way to start the day?
A: Listening to my kids play and giggle in the other room.
Q: What mystery do you wish you knew the answer to?
A: Magnets still confuse me. They’re like pieces of metal with super powers.
Q: What fictional place would you most like to go?
A: The Shire.
Q: What book impacted you the most?
A: A few years ago I read The Great Divorce. It was phenomenal.
Q: What risks are worth taking?
A: Swinging for the fences and being vulnerable.
Q: What do you spend the most time thinking about?
A: The future.
Q: How has your work evolved over the past few years?
A: I’ve been trying to take more risks, learn new techniques, and shoot personal work that’s meaningful to me. For the past decade or so I’ve been using my medium format film camera to photograph the fairs and carnivals that travel through town. It’s been fun to see that work evolve and get stronger.

A: A plan that I’m ready to throw out the window. You never know what’s going to happen!
