Q&A

Q: What song do you play on repeat?
A: “Sing Sung Saing” by Peggy Honeywell.

Q: What’s the best way to start the day?
A: Stretching! And coffee, of course.

Q: What are you most looking forward to this year?
A: Traveling to new places.

Q: What is the most impactful project you’ve worked on and why.
A: Shooting for a cigarette company with some of my favorite people ever in some of the prettiest locations on the East Coast. Such an interesting client to shoot for in this day and age.

Q: Which art/photo exhibit that you’ve seen has impacted you the most?
A: My friend Matt Byrd’s sculpture exhibit this year. It’s always good to see friends grow into their potential.

Q: What mystery do you wish you knew the answer to?
A: What my dogs are thinking.

Q: What are some things you had to unlearn?
A: File naming. It was a bad habit I’m glad I corrected – better late than never.

Q: What fictional place would you most like to go?
A: Anywhere in Star Wars.

Q: What have you only recently formed an opinion about?
A: As I’m getting older, I’m mostly forming an opinion on the weight of everything I own because I feel it in my back.

Q: What book impacted you the most?
A: On The Road by Jack Kerouac.

Q: What risks are worth taking?
A: Trying something new.

Q: What are the first 3 chapters of your autobiography titled?
A: I Hated School, Let’s Make a Few Bad Mistakes, Back On Track.

Q: What do you spend the most time thinking about?
A: Probably overthinking how to do literally anything throughout the day.

Q: Best and worst advice you’ve ever received.
A: Best: Never stop learning. Worst: Get used to it.

Q: How has your work evolved over the past few years?
A: By only shooting what I’m passionate about for personal projects.

Q: One thing you can’t show up to a shoot without – Besides a camera 😉
A: My Klean Kanteen water bottle. It’s beat to hell and I’m sure it smells like an aquarium inside to other people but it’s a comfort thing.
