A: 100 squats and a cold shower.

Q: What are you most looking forward to this year?
A: Watching our daughter grow up.

Q: What is the most impactful project you’ve worked on and why.
A: My most impactful project was for XQ Institute. This non-profit organization is re-thinking, re-inventing and re-shaping the method students are educated in schools all over the country. Documenting and witnessing the spirit and enthusiasm of students and teachers alike to make tomorrow’s world a bit better was simply priceless.

Q: What mystery do you wish you knew the answer to?
A: Whether we are reborn.

Q: What are some things you had to unlearn?
A: I had to unlearn how to be a photographer and play tennis in order to evolve to the next level.

Q: What fictional place would you most like to go?
A: The land of the elves in Lord of the Rings is the place I would go to.

Q: What have you only recently formed an opinion about?
A: My recent insights on life is that parenting is the hardest and most fulfilling thing out there. Everything else like a successful carrier is the cherry on top.

Q: What book impacted you the most?
A: Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins.

Q: What risks are worth taking?
A: Any risk in life that is confirmed by my intuition is worth taking.

Q: What are the first 3 chapters of your autobiography titled?
A: 1. Chapter: Growing up in East Germany 2. Chapter: Grandfather – The Mentor and Nurturer 3. Chapter: Arriving in the New World

Q: What do you spend the most time thinking about?
A: Family, photography, and tennis.

Q: Best and worst advice you’ve ever received.
A: Best advice: All I know is that I know nothing. Worst advice: Try to avoid mistakes.

Q: How has your work evolved over the past few years?
A: I hope so.

Q: One thing you can’t show up to a shoot without – Besides a camera 😉
A: Pastry and coffee.
